A Month of Mindfulness…
March is all about mindfulness, and what better way to kick start the month off, than with a post introducing the concept. But before we jump right in, let’s take three…deep…breaths…ok. Now that we are more calm and centred, let’s talk jump right in 🙂
What is Mindfulness?
I’m sure that you have heard the term mindfulness before, but what does it mean? Being mindful is to be thoughtful of how you engage with your environment and the people in it. It really just boils down to being more consciously aware of (and accepting of) your actions, thoughts, emotions, and senses from moment to moment. [Like putting on your favourite pair of socks in the morning…Awesome]
Why be Mindful?

The Opportunity of Mindfulness.
Each and every task, conversation, argument etc. we do in our daily routines can be transformed into an opportunity for mindfulness. It just requires that we slow down the mind, pay attention to our thoughts and emotions, and fully immerse ourselves in the present moment. You may find, as I do, that time begins to slow down, and we somehow manage to enjoy the more mundane tasks of daily life while effectively navigating conflict and negative emotions (while simultaneously becoming more productive). Definitely SUPERPOWERS in my book!! There is no doubt that mindfulness is another link in the chain to becoming your best self.

Being mindful all the time is really difficult to do. Mindfulness is a practice, and one that can benefit your life in a myriad of ways. Practice it as one of the all important Superhero Habits that fuel your best self!!
